Something not working, or a question about Cupline? Most answers are below. If yours is not, write to support@usulapps.com.
Widgets don't update
Cupline's widgets work out the whole day's curve ahead of time, so the number keeps falling on its own, and they refresh whenever you log a drink. iOS still decides how often widgets redraw, and does so less in Low Power Mode. Open Cupline once to bring them up to date. If a widget stays stuck, remove it and add it again.
The quick-log widget and the Control Center log control are part of Cupline Plus. Without Plus their buttons show a lock and open Cupline.
My Apple Watch doesn't show my drinks
Drinks you log on either device go to the other one: right away when both are nearby, or as soon as they reconnect. Your settings, quick-log drinks, custom drinks and Cupline Plus come from the iPhone, so change them there; the watch shows them read-only.
If nothing arrives, check that the watch is connected to the iPhone, that Cupline is installed on the watch (in the Watch app on your iPhone), and open Cupline on both. Give it a minute: the system sends drinks in the background.
Apple Health
Turn on Apple Health in Cupline's settings, under Apple Health. iOS asks once which data Cupline may use: allow Cupline to write Caffeine and to read Sleep. If you turned either off, open the Health app, tap your picture, then Apps under Privacy, then Cupline, and turn them on again.
Cupline saves each drink as caffeine; when you edit or delete a recent drink in Cupline, Health is updated too. Cupline doesn't record sleep itself: it reads the sleep your Apple Watch or another sleep app saves to Health. Without Health, the sleep pattern uses your morning answers.
The last-call reminder doesn't arrive
Allow notifications for Cupline in the Settings app, then turn on Last-call reminder in Cupline's settings. Cupline shows the time of the next reminder there. There is no reminder on days when your usual drink fits anytime, or when it is already too late for one more.
Why is my number not going up right after I log?
Caffeine is absorbed over the first hour, so the number climbs and peaks about 45 minutes after you drink. When you log a drink you had earlier, choose when you had it, and Cupline places it on the curve where it belongs.
Restore Cupline Plus on a new device
Open Cupline's settings and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple ID you subscribed with. Plus then unlocks the widgets and your Apple Watch too; open Cupline on the iPhone once so the watch hears about it.
Cancel Cupline Plus
In the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Cupline, or tap Manage subscription in Cupline's settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends. Your log stays; the Plus features lock again when the period ends.
Delete your data
To delete one drink, touch and hold it in today's log and choose Delete, or open it and tap Delete drink. To delete everything Cupline stored, delete the app from your iPhone and Apple Watch. Caffeine already saved to Apple Health stays there: in the Health app, open Browse, then Nutrition, then Caffeine, then Show All Data, and delete it there.
Delete my data in Cupline's settings on your iPhone deletes your account ID and everything our server keeps with it at once. Deleting the app does not erase what our server keeps, so use Delete my data first.
Is Cupline medical advice?
No. Cupline's numbers are estimates from typical caffeine amounts and a standard model of how the body absorbs and clears caffeine. Real cups and bodies vary. Ask your doctor about caffeine during pregnancy or with medicines.
